MARKINGS:
There are various types of markings. Notches are common. There are no signs of the notch having been removed, the rock just is not there.
NOTCHES:
The Notches are places where the rock has been removed and the interior surface commonly vitrified. These photos are just from a small area on Steamboat Mt. There are hundreds or possibly even thousands of these notches exist on Steamboat Mt. Steamboat is really a hill and not a mountain. The highest point is about 250 feet and that is a point cone on the east end.
RED SPOTS:
These red spots keep showing up.
REFLECTORS:
For lack of a better description these type of markers are called reflectors. They are all vitrified.
